This fine example of a Double Intersect Pratt Through Bridge was built by the Massillon Bridge Co. in 1898 and carries Dean Road over the Vermilion River. Although located in Lorain County, it is jointly maintained with Erie County. The bridge is on the National Register of Historic Places and was recently repaired. However, it has been reported that the bridge may be closed and is at risk of removal. This would be an unnecessary loss of a historic bridge in a lightly traveled rural location conducive to preservation.

Express your concerns to: Lorain and Erie counties.
